Nicholas Mukhtar: The Founder of Healthy Detroit

The Wayne State chapter of Healthy Detroit was proud to announce the launch of the first HealthPark in the country. It was a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy, active living in Detroit. The HealthPark, located at Patton Park, opened its doors to the public on September 6, offering a wide range of preventive health services and programs for Detroit residents. Founded by WSU alumnus Nicholas Mukhtar , Healthy Detroit aimed to build a culture of health and wellness in the city. The organization was formed in response to the U.S. Surgeon General's National Prevention Strategy, which provided guidance on improving citizens' health and well-being.
